Webinar for the European Jesuit schools’ network in cooperation with JECSE
This interactive workshop explores the complex landscape of digital threats facing young people and what teachers and parents can do. Unfortunately, many children and youth encounter these risks without adequate guidance, leaving them vulnerable to both immediate harm and long-term psychological effects.
Key focus areas:
• Threats and risks: Non-consensual image sharing, sextortion, cyber grooming, and deep fake imagery
• Harmful effects on young people and their social environment
• Youth-centered perspectives on effective adult intervention and support
There will be space for questions and generating ideas on how to protect and assist young people.
Keynote Speaker:
Marek Spitczok von Brisinski, is a coach and consultant for social organisations, also in implementing safeguarding programmes. He worked in counselling centres on sexualized violence, assisting those directly affected, their families and professionals and was one of the contact persons on sexualized violence in the German Region of Jesuits.
The webinar will be held in English and is free of charge.
The webinar is a cooperation with JECSE (The Jesuit European Committee for Primary and Secondary Education)

Leadership: Ulrike Gentner
is the Director of Education of the Center for Ignatian Pedagogy (ZIP) and Deputy Director of Education for Heinrich Pesch Haus located in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Ulrike Gentner is an active pedagogue an theologian with a particular interest in religious pedagogy, alongside publishing books and articles regulary. She is responsible for child protection and the delivery of holistic education in the Christian-humanistic tradition across the German-speaking world to schools, parents, policy-makers and young people, which enables responsible judgment and action.
